We are seeking a strategic and analytical Vice President, Materials Management & SIOP (Sales, Inventory, and Operational Planning) to lead the development, execution, and continuous improvement of integrated business planning processes. This role is critical to aligning demand forecasting, inventory planning, and production strategies to meet customer expectations, optimize working capital, and support long-term business growth. Core Responsibilities:

Strategic SIOP Leadership



  • Develop and lead a robust SIOP process that aligns demand and supply, improves forecast accuracy, reduces inventory and drives operational efficiency across Barnes Aerospace operations.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership, sales, operations, and finance to align business plans with strategic objectives to generate consistent, profitable growth.
  • Establish and orchestrate a regular cadence of SIOP review meetings to review performance, identify gaps, and drive resolution.


Demand & Supply Planning



  • Oversee demand planning processes and tools for both OEM and CRO to ensure accurate forecasts based on market trends, platform build rates, historical performance, and sales input.
  • Translate demand plans into Master Production Schedule supply requirements across manufacturing and procurement.
  • Align production capacity and inventory levels to meet customer needs while optimizing cost and lead time.
  • Develop material planning role standard work and key KPI's including PFEP (Plan for every Part) methods and deploy associated training with role expectations across network sites


Inventory & Capacity Optimization



  • Define and implement inventory strategies that reduce working capital while ensuring product availability.
  • Collaborate with Commercial/sales to monitor and manage customer schedule changes within contractual lead-time
  • Manage service levels, safety stock levels, lead time buffers, and replenishment strategies
  • Monitor production capacity and identify constraints or bottlenecks impacting customer service or cost targets.
  • Coordinate with Sites on developing monthly SIOP capacity outlooks, actions plans, workforce planning and cell/value-stream capacity/load balancing


Cross-Functional Integration



  • Act as the central point of enterprise integration and coordination for sales, operations, procurement, and finance to synchronize factory operations.
  • Lead change management efforts related to planning systems, tools, and best practices.
  • Support product lifecycle planning including new product introductions, phase-outs, and promotions.


Performance Measurement & Reporting



  • Define and develop required KPI's to track and improve forecast accuracy, inventory turns, service levels, cycle times, MPS stability and SIOP effectiveness.
  • Partner with IT to develop visual management tools and report to support decision and action processes.
  • Provide executive-level reporting and insights to support decision-making.
  • Continuously improve processes through analysis, feedback, and technology integration.


Qualifications:


* Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in supply chain, operations, or planning roles with at least 5+ years leading SIOP processes.
* Strong financial and business acumen, translating supply chain strategies into EBITDA growth, working capital optimization, and shareholder value creation.
* Exceptional executive presence and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage executive leaders and key stakeholders.
* Proven ability to build, lead, and develop high-performing global teams, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and cross-functional collaboration.
* Deep understanding of integrated business planning, demand forecasting, and inventory optimization.
* Strong analytical skills with experience in data modeling, forecasting tools, and ERP systems.
* Excellent communication and facilitation skills with a collaborative leadership style.
Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, Engineering, or related field required. Master's degree preferred.
  • Certifications such as APICS CPIM, CSCP, or Six Sigma are advantageous.
