Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION: Warm Line Supervisor will supervise and coordinate the work of members who work on the production lines. Warm Line Supervisor prepares work schedules, assigns work, and oversees the work product. Demonstrates strong people and leadership skills. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:



  • Maintain the highest level of safety and work with employees to identify potential hazards.
  • Implement production strategies to increase operational accuracy, efficiency and quality.
  • Responsible for product/process quality, safety, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
  • Responsible for developing and implementing production plant policies, procedures, operations and standardization.
  • Communicate with team and enforces company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure production plans are met and improve on time delivery performance.
  • Supervising employees in the Warm line production area.
  • Assist in creation and management of manufacturing processes, inventory, and ensuring machines are operating properly.
  • Hire, train, observe, and develop skills of assigned employees.
  • Create, improve and manage production within the facility.
  • Complete special projects as assigned.
  • Implement lean manufacturing concepts as applicable to include Kaizan, KanBan, PokeYoke, 5S, etc.
  • Drive production strategies to reduce product waste.


  • Must be able to operate a computer for data entry, work instructions, time keeping, etc.
  • Must be flexible to change (for all areas).
  • Should have good time management and planning skills.

Requirements

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EDUCATION, AND ABILITIES:



  • Bachelor's degree preferred and / or equivalent work experience of 3-5 years in the field or in a related area.
  • Knowledge of general machine operations and strong mechanical comprehension skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and good teamwork problem solving skills.
  • Good employee relation skills in mentoring and counseling production personnel
  • Must be able to lift up to 20lbs.


PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:



  • Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and move safely around a manufacturing floor.


  • Strong mental focus and resilience to work under pressure in a fast-paced setting.
  • Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Strong leadership, communication, multitasking, and attention to detail for quality and process improvements.
