Job Overview:
The Supervisor of the Peer Recovery Program, PRP, provides support to Recovery Specialists at the Institute for Prevention and Recovery, IFPR. Through lived experience and leader training, the Supervisor of the PRP provides this support through non-clinical individual supervision, team meetings, and coaching.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Minimum high school diploma or GED
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must have experience with electronic health records
- Must have two or more years of experience in the field of recovery supports
- Computer skills and knowledge with ability to email, navigate Microsoft Word, and other software systems
Preferred:
- Bilingual a plus
- Additional advanced degree
Certifications and Licenses Required:
- NAADAC Certification or another substance use certification
Scheduling Requirements:
- Night shift
- Sunday - Thursday 11:00pm - 7:30am
- Rotating weekend on call phone duties
- Full-Time
Essential Functions:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of a Peer Recovery Program Team
- Ensure effective communication with the entire team and support team members with complex cases
- Support Recovery Specialists with documentation compliance, including chart auditing and coaching
- Work with Program Coordinators to ensure proper scheduling and shift coverage
- Foster relationships with key stakeholders related to the work of a team
- Adhere to and complete reporting requirements to the funder and IFPR
- Provide administrative supervision of the Recovery Specialist team as assigned
- Assist in establishing and sustaining a social and physical environment supportive of recovery
- Support Recovery Specialists' professional development, including ensuring certification requirements are adhered to
- Work with Program Managers to orient, train and shadow new team members
- Assist and develop a thirty-day training schedule
- Ensure all training and shadowing is completed throughout the training schedule
- Review and confirm checklist has been completed before new team member goes into rotation
- Adhere to the Institute for Prevention and Recovery's mission and vision
- Has a working knowledge of the protocols and procedure handbook
- Implement and oversee organizational policy into workflow
- Review and discuss policy and procedures regularly with staff when appropriate
- Perform other duties as assigned
