As a result, Fountain House has created a comprehensive Community System of Care. This includes Clubhouses in Manhattan, the Bronx, Hollywood, California and Care Management, Home and Community Based Services and a large housing program ranging from 24 hour supervised residences to scattered site supported apartments. Your Impact As Community, Equity & Impact Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that diversity, equity, and inclusion are explicit and embedded across all Fountain House functions. You will help to shape a community where every individual feels as though they are heard; they are valued, and they truly belong. Up to 12 hours per week $22.93 per hour
Requirements
Key Responsibilities Community Engagement
- Coordinate internal and external activities and events that support Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging goals.
- Consult with department leadership and members to assist in developing action plans to address identified systemic barriers.
Learning & Development
- Participate in the development and delivery of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging training focused on identifying personal biases, developing tools, and strategies to enhance inclusion.
- Assist with building awareness and use of Diversity and Inclusion best practices.
- Assisting with the planning, developing, and coordinating of DEIB initiatives with an emphasis on providing support to Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) and We The People Collaborative.
- Assist with creating and implementing a framework to integrate Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging strategies and goals.
Advocacy & Outreach
- Assist with building relationships with external organizations to stay informed of issues of Diversity and Inclusion and present the Department's progress as appropriate.
- The Community, Equity, and Impact Coordinator will serve as an important point person on the team for assisting the P&C team in connecting with stakeholders and advancing key goals related to inclusion, equity and belonging.
- Coordinator will assist We The People Collaborative with their charter process, advise and consult with them on events, and provide guidance on communications related to structure and outreach.
Internal Strategy
- Assist with developing and implementing data collection and analysis to measure workforce diversity and inclusion efforts and support the Department with reporting and monitoring activities and methodologies. Coordinate reporting to leadership on progress, achievements, and areas of concern.
- Support the Chief People & Culture Officer in the development of DEIB materials, communications, and special projects that contribute to long-term DEIB strategic goals.
- Other duties and projects as assigned.

What You Bring
- 3+ years experience of criminal justice/community activism or a related field
- Batchelor's degree preferred
- Strong organizational skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and Slack
- Knowledge of Social Practice or the clubhouse model.
