ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Material Coordinator to join our dynamic team at Inspire Medical Systems. As a Material Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth flow of materials and supplies throughout our facility and manufacturing partners, contributing directly to the manufacturing and distribution of life-changing medical devices.

OPPORTUNITIES YOU WILL HAVE IN THIS ROLE



  • Inventory Management: Oversee the accurate and timely receipt, storage, and issuance of raw materials, components, and finished goods in compliance with established procedures and regulations.
  • Material Handling: Safely and efficiently transport materials using various equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Quality Assurance: Perform visual inspections of incoming materials to identify any discrepancies, report them to the appropriate personnel, and initiate claims.
  • Documentation: Maintain meticulous records of material movements, inventory levels, and stock locations, utilizing the company's inventory management system.
  • Replenishment: Collaborate with the Supply Chain department to maintain adequate stock levels, ensuring seamless operations.
  • Cycle Counts: Conduct routine cycle counts to validate inventory accuracy, promptly resolving any discrepancies and updating inventory records accordingly.
  • Compliance: Adhere to industry standards, FDA regulations, and company policies throughout all material handling and storage activities.
  • Waste Management: Coordinate the disposal or recycling of materials following proper waste management guidelines and environmental regulations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to optimize material handling processes, suggesting and implementing improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Supply Chain, Operations, and Quality, to support timely and accurate delivery of materials to meet production schedules.



QUALITY SYSTEM RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Document product and therapy related field reports within the prescribed timelines and provide any necessary documents required to complete the investigation. Provide follow-up reporting as needed.
  • Complete training requirements and competency confirmations as required for this position within the required timeline.
  • Comply with applicable quality system procedures/policies and make suggestions for continuous process improvement.



WHAT YOU CAN BRING TO OUR GREAT TEAM

Educational Requirements:



  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional relevant certifications or training is a plus.


Required Experience:

  • At least 2 years experience as a Material Coordinator or inventory management in a medical device manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Familiarity with FDA regulations and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in using material handling equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, with appropriate certification.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling materials, ensuring the highest level of product quality and compliance.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Knowledge of inventory management software and systems is an advantage.


Physical Requirements:

  • Physically capable of lifting and moving heavy materials as required
  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching throughout a shift

The salary for this position will be offered at a level consistent with the experience and qualifications of the candidate. This information reflects the anticipated salary range for this position at the time of posting. The salary range may be modified in the future and actual compensation may vary from the posting based on various factors such as geographic location, work experience, education and/or skill level.
