- Compensation for this CA based position is competitive and based on experience, education, and skills, typically ranging from $80,000 - $85,000 per year.
What you'll do:
- Become a foremost expert in the ProTraQ software suite, assisting in the maintenance of Silgan's enterprise business application across all manufacturing locations.
- Implement, train, and maintain the ProTraQ system for end users including floor operators, supervisors, and plant management.
- Ensure consistent implementation of corporate-designated software and associated hardware.
- Travel for project work and installations (approximately 50-75% domestically and internationally).
- Install and configure hardware and software, including barcode scanners and related systems.
- Provide training to end users on software and hardware functionality.
- Work with Business Technology teams to resolve issues and perform ProTraQ upgrades at remote sites.
- Establish strong working relationships with plant management and quality managers to assist in manufacturing process tracking.
- Demonstrate professionalism, communication excellence, and strong troubleshooting capabilities in both software and hardware environments.
We need you to have:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field; OR an Associate's degree plus 2 years of relevant technical support experience.
- Experience providing end-user training-ideally within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Windows OS, and basic PC hardware/software troubleshooting.
- Ability to work independently, with a team, and across levels.
- Willingness and ability to travel 50-75% (domestic and international) and obtain a U.S. Passport.
- Basic knowledge of ERP systems preferred.
- Experience with handheld barcode scanners a plus.
- Secondary language a plus.
