As a Security Officer - Unarmed Post - Full Time in Madison, WI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help to deter security-related incidents and maintain a secure environment. You will regularly interact with employees and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication while conducting routine patrols. Your visible presence and attention to access control will help create a welcoming and protected atmosphere. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity, with working environments and conditions that may vary.
• Monitor for and report any suspicious persons, vehicles, and/or activities in and around the premises.
• Document security-related incidents and complete required reports accurately and promptly.
• Interact professionally with employees, visitors, and vendors while maintaining a visible presence to help to deter unwanted activities.
• Follow all Allied Universal and client site guidelines, protocols, and post orders at the chemical and petrochemical location.
• Assist in controlling access to sensitive and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized entry.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
