The Altman Clinical and Translational Research Institute (ACTRI) is an NIH-funded Clinical and Translational Science Award (CTSA) institution that provides the infrastructure to support high-quality and innovative translational research. ACTRI's vision is to translate scientific discoveries into improved health by delivering education, training, and infrastructure for clinical research in the San Diego area and beyond. Mike Hogarth, M.D. and Davey Smith M.D. are the principal investigators on ACTRI's CTSA grant. The ACTRI functions under the direction of Dr. Smith, M.D., Director and Assistant Vice Chancellor of Clinical and Translational Research at UC San Diego The Biomedical Informatics division of ACTRI provides leading edge information systems and expert management, in support of clinical and translational research. Computational services are hosted within a HIPAA compliant secure research cloud, including integrations with health system EHR, CTMS, informatics and clinical data warehouse systems. The ACTRI unit for Biomedical Informatics (BMI) is a leader in using, innovating and providing informatics technologies and services to enable advances in healthcare research and collaborations. Focusing on data-oriented builds and support of applications such as Epic EHR and Research suite Velos CTMS, Biospecimen, REDCap, and AWS HIPAA cloud. ACTRI-BMI serves as a UCSD and national resource forclinical data informatics expertise, consultation and collaborations. This role utilizes clinical research process knowledge and technical expertise in enterprise-level clinical applications to enhance clinical research service delivery and fulfilment of major CTSA clinical research initiatives. As a vital member of the ACTRI Biomedical Informatics department, this position is focused on leading the integrations and support of clinical research leveraging the Epic Research Suite and the institutional clinical research IT infrastructure, for a large-scale multi-site research clinic environment. Incumbent offers expert guidance on utilizing Epic Research Suite and other clinical research information systems for complex research operational workflows in collaboration with the Health Sciences Clinical Trials Office (CTO) for development of enterprise research services in collaboration and support of clinical research units (CRU). This role also has direct responsibilities in the content and service builds for Epic Research module related protocols and data models that integrate with CTMS services. The Data Systems Integrations Analyst applies advanced technical expertise for system integration and supports the needs of the ACTRI groups, and related multiple health research and development activities. As a seasoned, experienced research data systems and applications professional resolves a wide range of issues that are complex in scope. Applies skills as a seasoned, experienced data / information management professional with full understanding of industry practices and campus / medical center / OP and department methodologies, policies and procedures to resolve complex and wide ranging issues where analyses of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors. Demonstrates competency in selecting methods and techniques to obtain solutions. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $88,000 - $161,600 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $42.15 - $77.39 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable). | |
