POSITION OVERVIEWThe Police Records Assistant is responsible for support in areas of Police Records, Property and Evidence, and general administration. Under general supervision, provide administrative and programmatic support in areas of Police Records, Property and Evidence, and general administration. Under general supervision, responsible for compiling, maintaining, reviewing and analyzing police records and statistics. Analyze and review release of information. Assure proper case preparation for prosecutorial submission, subpoenas, court orders and other records requirements. Handle reception, including heavy foot traffic, and maintain front lobby security. Answer multi-line phone and route calls and requests for assistance. Provide information to the public and act as liaison with campus community and law enforcement and criminal justice agencies. Provides other general administrative support, including assisting with special projects and other activities as needed. Functions as a team member and provides positive contributions to achieve the goals of the Police Department and handle police records responsibilities. QUALIFICATIONS
Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $61,429 - $88,030 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%) Hourly Equivalent: $29.42 - $42.16 Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
