Administrative Intern - District Attorney


Hourly Pay Rate $13.50 - $20.66



Closing Date: December 08, 2025, or sooner upon receipt of the first 50 application submissions received.



Job Summary: The intern will function under the supervision of the Chief Investigator or Deputy Chief Investigator, providing investigative support to investigators, assistant district attorneys and victim/witness advocates.



Job Duties:



  • Listen to, transcribe, and summarize jail calls and recorded statements of defendants; compile, organize and summarize case files; research criminal histories of defendants; and prepare charts, diagrams, and other exhibits for court presentation.
  • Assist investigators, prosecutors, and victim/witness advocates in identifying threats and any safety concerns for victims and witnesses prior to court proceedings and trials.



Minimum Qualifications:



  • Current resident of the state of Wisconsin
  • High School Diploma
  • Personal Computer
  • Basic knowledge of all related computer and software applications, such as word processing and spreadsheets. (Microsoft Word and Excel)

Preferred:



  • Students currently enrolled in Technical College and/or University.



Required Skills and Abilities: The ability to lift/carry and push/pull up to 20 LBS. Read, write and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Write routine reports, correspondence, and speak effectively before both internal and external groups. Establish, organize and maintain files, document management and data base searches. Work effectively and harmoniously with Internal and external group

Appointee must establish Wisconsin State residency within six (6) months of appointment and maintain such residency during incumbency.
