Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking an Assistant to the Dean Supervisor for Mason Gross School of the Arts (
MGSA). This position reports directly to the Dean.
Among the key duties of the position are the following:
- Manages the daily operations and administration of the Dean's Office, including calendar management, travel arrangements, event planning, meeting briefings, conducting research and providing relevant materials, and establishing and maintaining records management systems.
- Coordinates, facilitates, and/or implements all programs, policies, and processes related to faculty and staff recruitment and hires, including and not limited to, faculty reappointment, promotion, advancement, tenure, sabbatical, and leave processes.
- Provides direction and support to MGSA leaderships and departments with faculty and staff personnel matters.
- Manages a variety of complex projects in addition to confidential, executive-level administrative support to the Dean.
- Works independently with broadly defined work objectives and few direct instructions.
- Maintains a professional demeanor in a confidential, fast-paced, deadline-driven, customer service-focused environment.
- Performs work in a manner that furthers the mission of MGSA, Rutgers, and contributes to strategic goals.

Qualifications
| Minimum Education and Experience |
- Bachelor's degree and at least five (5) years of office administration experience.
