Job Description:


SUMMARY

Under general supervision, the operator is responsible for maintaining established production and quality levels and is responsible for the operation of the wet process area of production. Monitor material feed, sizing, separation, flotation and pumping of product and waste streams to achieve the required product quality. Perform housekeeping tasks with wash-down hose and/or skid steer loader. Perform basic maintenance and lubrication of equipment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS




  • Follows established policies and procedures established by the company, including safety procedures.
  • Safely operates and maintains equipment.
  • Continuously monitor all aspects of the wet process area.
  • Climb stairs, walk and turning manual valves.
  • Maintain housekeeping of area using wash down hose, shovel, and operating a skid steer loader.
  • Must have a working knowledge of motors, gauges, flotation, meters and controls.
  • Be able to work from elevated heights when checking equipment operation and taking routine samples.
  • Ability to complete preventive maintenance
  • Trains other employees as required.


  • Works as part of a team as required
  • Observes recycling guidelines and limits waste of materials and supplies.
  • Performs other tasks as required to support fellow employees in a team environment.
  • Must maintain satisfactory attendance, to include timeliness.
  • Responsible for understanding and complying with applicable quality, environmental and safety regulatory consideration.

QUALIFICATIONS

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
* High School diploma or G.E.D. required.
* While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds.
* Required to work scheduled shift.
* Required to comply with company policies.

  • Communicate ideas clearly and articulately.
  • Skilled in reading, comprehending, interpreting and executing simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
  • Skilled in writing simple correspondence.
  • Skilled in adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing using whole numbers.
  • Capable of climbing and descending stairs and working at high elevations.
  • Capable of working rotating shifts and overtime as necessary.
  • Working Saturdays and Sundays as necessary.



PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* One year of experience or training in mining, heavy industry or equipment maintenance.

Compensation



Hiring Hourly Rate: $36.12



Actual compensation amount paid may be lower or higher to be determined by factors other than race and gender such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
