This role focuses on event coordination, audience safety, volunteer program management, and upholding the Wheeler Opera House's commitment to providing exceptional customer service and maintaining a safe and welcoming environment for all patrons and staff. Supervision Exercised and Received: Position works under the direct supervision of the Front of House Supervisor. Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook (Email). Must have a basic understanding of computers and online computer-based technology applications, which includes accessing web-based platforms. Licenses & Certifications: Must possess a valid Colorado driver's license or be able to obtain one within 30 days of start date. NOTE: Any combination of experience and education that would likely provide the required abilities, knowledge, and skills as determined by the City of Aspen may be substituted for the requirements above. Preferred Candidate: Bachelor's degree preferred. Prior experience in performing arts/events a plus NOTE: This position requires a Criminal Background Check upon hire. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a Criminal Background Check. Position Type and Work Hours: * Regular full time, hours vary with workload and season schedule. * Evenings/Weekends will frequently be required in addition to or instead of traditional weekday hours depending on department needs and event calendar. * Overtime may be required during peak times. * Holidays may be required dependent on event schedule. Work Environment: * Indoors: Performing arts center environment, including a potential need to stand for extended durations and have exposure to noise and vibration, extended hours in darkness or limited lighting, in addition to a typical office environment * Off-Site/Outdoors: Event management of off-site locations. __________________________________________________________________________ Physical Demands: Bending: Bending or position oneself to move an object from one level to another.
