Job Description




As a Security Officer - Manufacturing Reception Desk in HICKORY, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Front Desk professional within a manufacturing and industrial location, you will be the first point of contact for all visitors and employees, providing outstanding customer service and communication. Your role will involve monitoring access, managing badge control, and assisting with security-related incidents as needed. What You'll Do:

  • Greet and assist employees, visitors, and/or contractors at the front desk, providing a positive and professional first point of contact.
  • Monitor access to the location by verifying identification and credentials for individuals entering the premises.
  • Follow site-specific security-related procedures and policies as directed by Allied Universal and the client site management.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations at the front desk in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues as necessary per protocol.
  • Maintain accurate logs and/or records of visitors, deliveries, and incidents occurring at the front desk.
  • Provide customer service and support to all individuals at the location, addressing inquiries and/or directing them appropriately.
  • Assist in helping to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity by maintaining an attentive presence at the front desk.
  • Communicate with Allied Universal supervision and/or client representatives regarding security-related matters as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
