Job Description




As a Security Officer - Healthcare Access Control in Beech Island, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Professional specializing in access control at a healthcare location, you will monitor entrances, check credentials, and help to deter security-related incidents through routine patrols and visible presence. Your role is to provide outstanding customer service, maintain a welcoming atmosphere, and support a secure environment for all visitors and staff, while embodying our core values of teamwork, integrity, and a people-first approach.

What You'll Do:

  • Monitor and control access to the healthcare location, verifying identification and authorization of individuals entering or exiting the premises.
  • Provide customer service by assisting visitors, patients, and staff with directions and information related to access protocols.
  • Carry out security-related procedures in accordance with site-specific policies and guidelines.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations within the healthcare environment in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access or suspicious activity.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal and site leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
