Medical Assistant - Oncology/Hematology - Cancer Pavilion - 40 Hours - Days

We are in search of a Medical Assistant to work with our amazing team. This Medical Assistant will be dependable and enthusiastic. They will enjoy collaborating with fellow team members and staff. They can change directions by moving through different tasks throughout the day.

This position is for a busy Benign and Malignant Hematology Clinic. The clinic has multiple physicians and mid-level providers as well as fellows who work in the clinic. The Medical Assistants also assist with sample preparation for patients having a bone marrow biopsy procedure. GENERALSUMMARY:
Under direct supervision of the provider and nursing leadership, the Medical Assistant performs a variety of administrative and clinical tasks to assist in the quality and compassionate care provided to patients.

• These duties may include but are not limited to:

• The greeting and escorting of patients to the exam room,

• Obtaining medical histories,

• The measurement and recording of vital signs,

• Preparing patients for an examination/procedure,

• Assisting the provider during the examination/procedure.
