Job Description

Do you have a passion for Instructional design?

Ridgeline International is seeking an Instructional Designer to support our online and in-person design and delivery modalities. In this role, you will create, design, develop, instructional materials, learning resources and content. The successful candidate will have a combination of education and work experience in instructional design/learning experience design for technical and complex topics.

What you'll do:

  • Design, develop, implement and evaluate enterprise-wide learning solutions in support of Ridgeline's business objectives.
  • Partner with SMEs and key stakeholders to develop learning paths and curriculum that reflects sound instructional design based on adult learning principles and best practices.
  • Demonstrate experience in instructional design systems, learning technologies and adult learning best practices.
  • Maintain progressive knowledge of the trends in learning experience design, learning methodologies and learning technology solutions.
  • Work across functions with peers in other groups to ensure collaboration for shared goals
  • Use human-centered design approach to solving instructional design challenges

What you'll accomplish in the first six months:

  • Develop, design, and implement innovative in-person learning experiences
  • Develop and design materials such as lesson plans/instructor guides, learning objectives and assessment tools.
Qualifications

Must-haves:

  • Active Secret Clearance
  • 4+ years of experience in instructional design
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in instructional design, curriculum and instruction, or educational technology; relevant experience will also be considered in place of a degree.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills to facilitate discussion and collaboration among various stakeholders
  • Experience designing engaging learning activities and course material for adult learners
  • High proficiency with Adobe tool suite (Photoshop, Premiere) or similar tools and screen casting
  • Ability to incorporate multimedia where appropriate

Nice-to-haves:

  • Graphic Design and LMS administration
  • Experience building and maintaining Confluence pages
  • Experience with delivery of content to 100+ adult students
  • Portfolio of Past performance
