About the Job

Duties/Responsibilities

60% Office Tasks:

1. Providing customer service by serving as a resource to guests by providing accurate and current information regarding athletic programs and facilities, classes, team and event schedules.

2. Monitor who enters the building. Not allowing the public to enter unless they have a purpose.

3. Error free record keeping, filing, and copying.

4. Routine typing including word processing, drafting/editing student schedules, lost and found inventory and data entry.

5. Receive mail and packages from USPS, FedEx, UPS, and couriers; deliver mail to the proper recipient.

20% Game Day Operations

1. Accept, log, and maintain Lost and Found items. Provide contact information about contacting lost and found items. Monitor lost and found email.

2. Operate Game Day Command. Serve as the point of contact for distributing calls for spills & facility issues to operations staff.

3. Serve as point of contact and monitor the fire Panel during events.

20% Building Operations:

1. Delivery of material arrivals

2. Assist Student Laborers in daily operations upkeep

3. Maintain and file Lost and Found. Organize delivery/pick up of donations.

4. Sorting and distribution of incoming mail 5. Maintain the Organization, office supply inventory and cleanliness of the

Qualifications

Required:

1. High School Diploma

2. Possess excellent customer service, communication and organizational skills, be team-oriented, have experience and/or a willingness to learn daily operations of athletic facilities

3. Ability to answer phones in a professional and courteous manner, complete data entry and filing procedures, and perform routine office work

4. Proficient skills in alphabetizing, grammar, punctuation, typing and spelling, and be willing to learn new software programs

5. Ability to work some evenings, weekends, holidays, breaks and events; schedules are flexible to meet class schedule

Preferred:

1. Efficient in Microsoft (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)

2. Preferred Day-Time availability (8am-4pm)

About the Department

As a member of the facility operations staff, you will be responsible for the daily operations, as well as event conversion and event services for Williams Arena and Maturi Pavilion. Athletic Facilities is a unit of Intercollegiate Athletics whose mission is to provide safe and competitive facilities to the University community and to its stakeholders.

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: 15.25; depending on education/qualifications/experience.
