Description and Requirements
Kickstart Your Career in Quality Engineering!
Looking for a summer internship that combines real-world impact with hands-on learning? Join our team and work on projects that improve product quality and customer satisfaction. You'll gain practical experience in problem-solving, process improvement, and quality assurance-all while learning from industry experts in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

In this role you will assist in understanding root cause for key customer Quality issues, help to develop corrective actions, drive continuous improvements, and establish manufacturing control and reporting processes. You will help with specific Customer Process and Product Quality elements such as:

  • Process mapping, pFMEA, target setting, and on-going monitoring for their assigned products from product introduction to product withdrawal.
  • Working with both the local and global Quality, Test, and Supplier Engineers to improve systems, products, and supplier quality against established targets.
  • Analyzing test logs, Failure Analysis reports, and supplier 8D reports.
  • Working with the WW QE team to develop and drive global initiatives.
  • Supporting other WW QE's efforts at your home mfg. site.
  • Supporting customer requests and audit needs as required.
  • Participating in Customer First Article Reports (FAI's) with the overall team.
  • Coordinating Supplier Sorting efforts, Onsite Supplier visits, and Supplier Quality within your product set.
Required Qualifications
  1. Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field).
  2. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  3. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  4. Basic understanding of manufacturing processes or product lifecycle.
  5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications
  1. Coursework or experience in Quality Engineering, CQE/MQE, or related disciplines.
  2. Familiarity with root cause analysis, pFMEA, and corrective action methodologies.
  3. Exposure to continuous improvement tools (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
  4. Knowledge of data analysis and reporting techniques.
  5. Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
