Job Overview

The IT Strategy and Initiatives Director is responsible for leading and driving the strategic direction of our IT initiatives, ensuring alignment with the company's overall goals and objectives. As a key member of the IT leadership team: this role will manage strategic and sensitive initiatives across the enterprise functions; Set direction for delivery teams and aligning executive functions to support the spend related to critical projects to enable the business and to change the business. The Director will develop and implement innovative strategies, identifying new opportunities and technologies to enhance our IT capabilities, and drive operational excellence across the organization.



This role will support entire Technology function which now includes Data & Analytics and newly formed teams such as Enterprise Architecture. This role will also help execute the directives of the newly formed Enterprise Strategy function, including software application rationalization. In conjunction with FP&A, this role will be instrumental in helping create and socialize a 5-year financial plan for the Technology department.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute the IT strategic plan in alignment with the company's overall strategy, identifying new and emerging technologies that can deliver competitive advantages
  • Alignment and Collaboration: Collaborate with key stakeholders across the organization, including senior management and business units, to understand their requirements and ensure IT initiatives align with their strategic goals.
  • IT Initiative Management: Oversee the execution of strategic IT projects, ensuring timely delivery, cost-effectiveness, and quality. Provide guidance and support to project teams, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Resource Allocation: Assess and allocate resources (budget, personnel, and technology) effectively to support strategic IT initiatives, ensuring efficient and optimal utilization
  • Technology Innovation: Continuously monitor and evaluate industry trends, innovations, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities to enhance IT capabilities and drive digital transformation
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with external technology partners and vendors to leverage their expertise and effectively manage contracts and service level agreements.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks that could impact IT initiatives, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals, providing guidance, performance management, and professional development opportunities to ensure a high-performing and engaged team.


Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Strategic Thinking and the Implementation of Strategic Initiatives.
  • Self starter capable of communicating very well to all levels of the organization.
  • Chief of Staff experience as well as Consulting is beneficial.
  • Must have the natural ability to work cross functionally and across levels to influence and help guide process execution.
  • Demonstrated strength in complex conceptual understanding and leading/influencing change.
  • Must be effective communicator

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree (Business Administration or Marketing preferred)
  • Knowledge Acquired through 5 to up to 7 years of experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Capable of discerning difficult concepts and influential to move concepts to existence.
  • Financial and P&L experience is beneficial.
