HealthPark DriveFort Myers FL 33908 Department: Pediatric OP Cancer Center Work Type: Full Time Shift: Shift 1/8:00:00 AM to 4:00:00 PM Minimum to Midpoint Pay Rate:$36.79 - $49.67 / hour SummaryGolisano Children's Hospital is seeking a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) for their Hematology/Oncology Department. This experienced pediatric hematology/oncology RN will have a Masters degree and provide clinical excellence while focusing on patient quality, education and hands on support at the bedside for patients requiring specialized care. The hours are typically Monday through Friday 8:00 am t 4:30pm but this CNS will need to flex from time to time ensuring support for our night shift staff. The Clinical Nurse Specialist's sphere of clinical practice influences patient care outcomes nursing practices across acute and critical care services and the development of organizational systems that support nursing practice and patient care standards. Demonstrates knowledge of nursing science required to influence nursing practice. Possesses clinical expertise based on completion of advanced nursing education that encompasses in-depth knowledge of theory-based clinical nursing and research/evidence-based nursing practice. Focuses on providing system-wide clinical expertise, developing innovative evidence-based procedures, policies and programs that improve quality of nursing care delivery and resource management for acute or critical care services. Provides collaborative/consultative services to promote outcome focused professional nursing practice that meets nationally accepted clinical practice guidelines and standards for quality, safety, service and financial goals. From a program that is nationally accredited and prepares the graduate as a Clinical Nurse Specialist Experience Requirements
