Overview

We are seeking an Associate Engineer with hands-on experience in validating NICE CXone products and testing both custom-built and commercial customer engagement solutions. The ideal candidate brings strong knowledge of user acceptance testing (UAT), AI-driven IVR systems, and cross-team collaboration.


This role is well-suited for an engineer ready to take ownership of strategic test planning, improve QA processes, and guide team members toward delivering high-quality customer-facing software.


Responsibilities

  • Lead test planning and execution for new features within CCaaS, IVR, and customer engagement platforms, with a focus on NICE CXone system functionality.
  • Develop, refine, and manage test cases, test scripts, and acceptance criteria based on requirements and design flow documentation.
  • Own the UAT lifecycle, coordinating with business stakeholders, software developers, and testers to ensure proper validation of customer-facing workflows.
  • Conduct testing for AI-based IVR systems, validating conversational paths, routing logic, and integrated customer experiences.
  • Validate features that support customer feedback collection, surveys, and post-interaction analysis across multiple channels.
  • Identify, document, and communicate defects while ensuring efficient resolution and retesting.
  • Mentor junior testers and help define scalable QA best practices.
  • Collaborate closely with teams working with utility-industry clients, ensuring software meets both business and regulatory expectations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of software testing or QA engineering experience, preferably with customer service, telephony, or CCaaS systems.
  • Hands-on experience with NICE CXone, Omilia, and CallVu software including testing workflows, routing logic, and integrated customer interactions.
  • Strong understanding of manual testing, test case development, and UAT procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills and proven ability to work collaboratively across technical and business teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with or supporting PSEG Long Island (PSEGLI) or other large utility customer service organizations-a strong bonus given domain-specific workflows and requirements.
  • Background supporting AI-driven customer interaction systems and large-scale contact centers serving over one million customers.
  • Knowledge of networking fundamentals, TCP/IP, or network security concepts.

Compensation: In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.

Other Compensation: Employee may be eligible for participation in the Company's annual Discretionary Bonus Program which is contingent on Company, Business Segment, and Individual performance against Key Performance Indicators which vary by year and employee.

Salary Range

USD $76,274.00 - USD $88,026.00 /Yr.
