Security Officer - Retail

As a Security Officer - Retail Patrol in Saginaw, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail locations, helping to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. You will provide outstanding customer service, support a welcoming environment, and communicate clearly with guests and team members. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations within the retail location in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the store and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Observe and report any security-related concerns or incidents to the appropriate personnel and/or authorities.
• Work collaboratively with store management and Allied Universal team members to address security-related issues as they arise.
• Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points within the location.
• Maintain a visible presence throughout the retail environment to help to deter theft and/or disruptive behavior.
• Document and communicate all security-related incidents and/or unusual activity according to site-specific protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
