What You'll Do:
The Regional Sales Manager for the US Gulf territory, will have strong experience in developing business in the assigned region. They will be a member of a global team of container sales experts, on a combined mission to maximize worldwide average net sale values while building sales volumes to match Triton International's projected volumes into sale. As a member of a regional team, they will be responsible for best-in-class management of Triton International revenue generation and cost management in the defined geographical area. This position will be based in Triton's Houston office with the flexibility to work as remotely as needed.
- Develop and Manage Customer Relationships Build strong customer partnerships to position Triton Container Sales ("TCS") as the preferred supplier, understand customer needs, create tailored sales strategies, and ensure smooth order fulfillment through strong internal coordination.
- Drive Sales Growth and Market Expansion Prospect and win new business across existing and new geographic markets, execute the full sales cycle, and pursue opportunities to expand trading activity across all Triton Container product lines.
- Optimize Customer Fit and Operational Execution Maintain expert knowledge of container products, pricing, service capabilities, and depot operations to effectively match solutions to customer requirements and support logistics coordination for inventory movements.
- Increase Revenue and Value Creation Identify and pursue opportunities to improve net sales values through agreements such as gate sale, consignment, and depot sales, while building buy/sell pipelines to support demand gaps.
- Ensure Compliance, Intelligence Sharing, and Financial Discipline Collect and share market intelligence, monitor competitor activity, ensure credit approvals and customer payment compliance, adhere to Triton International policies, and support additional projects as needed.
What We Are Looking For:
- Minimum of 3 years of sales and/or marketing experience preferred
- Prior Knowledge of the container shipping or logistics industry preferred
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience preferred
- Fluency in Spanish language is a plus
- Proficient in PC use and the Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong social skills and business development skills required for initiating customer engagement with TCS products and services
- Demonstrate energy, enthusiasm, strong decision-making skills and a positive attitude
- Demonstrate excellent communication skills, verbal and written
- Ability to multitask and work under deadlines
- Ability to build good customer and vendor relations
- Ability to physically inspect containers required
- Ability to travel within an assigned area for 1 - 2 weeks at a time, including multi-state travel by car/air with a strong aptitude for cold calling on new single site storage operators and dealers
- Willingness to work outside regular office hours as reasonably required by the business
- Must be at a commutable distance (within 50 miles) to the Houston office
