Acara Solutions seeks a Capability Project Lead/ Deputy Program Manager Engineer for our client in Scottsdale, AZ.

  • Lead engineering-focused project execution as a Capability Project Lead and Deputy Program Manager.
  • Plan, organize, and manage program scope, schedule, cost, and technical performance.
  • Communicate project status, risks, impacts, and corrective actions to diverse stakeholders.
  • Apply project leadership principles, including Earned Value, SPI/CPI, and Cost Account Management.
  • Guide teams through complex technical challenges and evolving program requirements.
  • Creates an environment in which the impact of technology on the business is clearly recognized.
Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Science or Technology or Mathematics with 5 years of experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, planning, and execution within complex environments.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree with 3 years of experience.
  • Proven organizational and time management skills.
  • Proven communication skills.
  • Ability to lead a team.
  • Ability to motivate a team.
  • Ability to resolve conflicts and handle some negotiations.
  • Proven problem-solving skills in complex environments.
  • Proficient in project management.
  • Ability to apply or develop highly advanced technologies, principles, theories, and concepts.
  • Fully proficient understanding of company policies and practices.
  • Fully proficient understanding of engineering processes and practices.
  • Fully proficient in planning and organization skills.
  • Fully proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office Suite of tools and Microsoft Project.
  • Proficient knowledge of various project life cycles, including agile.
  • Fully proficient in communicating issues, impacts, and corrective actions.
  • Fully proficient ability to easily and effectively communicate project topics to a diverse audience.
  • Fully proficient in clearly reporting relevant information.
  • Ability to understand and apply project leadership principles, including SPI/CPI, Earned Value, Cost Account Management (CAM), and Statistical Process Controls for complex programs.
  • Fully proficient in anticipating technology, process, and skill needs.
  • Demonstrates proactive leadership and has name recognition throughout the business unit.
