Job Description




As a Security Officer - Overnight Hotel Patrol in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a prominent hotel and resort location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service. Your visible presence and strong communication skills will contribute to a welcoming environment for guests and staff. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to guests and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, providing support as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the hotel and resort property, including both interior and exterior areas, to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and other access points to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain a welcoming environment for guests.
  • Document and report any unusual occurrences, maintenance issues, or security-related incidents according to company and site guidelines.
  • Assist with crowd management and/or guest inquiries during events or high-traffic periods within the hotel and resort location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • Experience with computer or tablet use is preferred.
  • Experience in loss prevention is preferred.
  • A valid guard card or license is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
