Security Officer - Retail Patrol

As a Security Officer - Retail Patrol in Lima, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a bustling retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service by following site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and responding to emergencies as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner within the retail location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail environment and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and promote a secure atmosphere.
• Observe and report any suspicious activities or security-related concerns to Allied Universal management and/or site leadership.
• Assist visitors, customers, and employees with directions and general inquiries while maintaining a professional presence.
• Support access control procedures and monitor entrances and exits as required by site policies.
• Complete detailed reports on incidents, observations, and activities during assigned shifts.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
