Overview
BigBear.ai is seeking a Senior Front-End Software Engineer to develop and support Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM) capabilities for enterprise and stand-alone deployments across the Intelligence Community (IC). In this role, you will work with a team of developers to support enterprise web applications across multiple fabrics. This hybrid position is based in Hanover, MD.
What you will do
- Implement new features, capabilities, and address defects in enterprise web applications.
- Provide input throughout the software lifecycle, including testing and deployment.
- Define, manage, and deliver capabilities within an existing development team.
What you need to have
- Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- 4 additional years of software engineering experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree, for a total of 12 years of experience.
- 8+ years of software engineering experience is required.
- 3+ years of work experience in the SIGINT, IA, or IT domains is required.
- Clearance: TS/SCI with Polygraph (required).
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in JavaScript.
- Skilled in UX/UI design and implementation.
- Experience meeting 508 Compliance Mandates.
- Familiarity with React and Vue 3 frameworks.
- Proficient in using GitLab, CI/CD, and build pipelines.

- Active participation in code reviews to ensure quality and adherence to best practices.
- Ability to introduce and incorporate software development best practices into the team's processes.
- Experience mentoring junior developers to improve their knowledge and skills.
- Expertise in creating and expanding unit and end-to-end testing.
- Experience performing development in the eVo environment, including familiarity with tools such as GreyBox and Spring.
- Ability to provide input on software components of system design, including hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, and requirements analysis and synthesis.
- Experience administering, maintaining, and implementing policies and procedures to ensure the security and integrity of applications.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate architecture and design concepts.
- Ability to write technical documentation, including wiki sites and blogs.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, including the ability to multi-task and work independently with minimal supervision to meet deadlines.
- Experience engaging with leadership, customers, and interfacing teams.
