Are you in search of flexible work that allows independence on the open road? Sandy Pine is seeking a delivery driver (courier) to ensure timely and efficient delivery of animal genetic material. This opportunity is offered as either an independent contractor (1099) or employee of our company (W2).
Responsibilities Include:
- Deliver animal genetic material on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday each week, departing from our facility near Duncan, Nebraska around 11: 00 AM and transporting product to multiple customers with a final destination near Salisbury, Missouri.
- Daily round trip travel is approximately 12 hours and 740 miles, excluding travel from/to personal home at the start and end of each shift.
- Follow delivery route, time schedule, and handle delivery paperwork, while driving with a purpose to meet our customer fulfillment needs.
- Vehicle must be thoroughly washed and cleaned after daily delivery is complete.
Compensation Structure:
- If you are employed as an independent contractor (1099), you must use your own reliable vehicle and will be paid $0.75 per mile.
- If you are employed by Sandy Pine (W2 employee), the hourly rate is $18.00, and a company vehicle will be provided to complete deliveries. Sandy Pine employees are eligible for benefits at a minimum of 30+ hours worked per week.
Ideal Candidate:
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- Previous delivery driving experience preferred but not required.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Must have reliable vehicle with current vehicle insurance.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check, motor vehicle report and drug screen.
- High level of professionalism and punctuality.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Must have a professional appearance since customer contact is required.
- Ability to read and speak the English language sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials and to respond to official inquiries and directions in accordance with company guidelines.
- Due to biosecurity requirements, the selected candidate is not permitted to live with someone who works with swine. Additional biosecurity requirements will be discussed during the interview process.
