Overview

The EP/Associate will play a key role in developing and supporting tools, programs, and resources that strengthen the employee experience, engagement and collaboration across Electric Engineering. This role supports initiatives for new hires, current employees, and summer interns/co-op by helping design and maintain onboarding materials, engagement programs (including the summer internship program), learning resources, and knowledge sharing systems. The Associate will also contribute to the rollout and support of new platforms and processes that enhance departmental performance, streamline workflows, and improve communication, collaboration, and employee development. This is an ideal opportunity for an early career professional interested in organizational development, internal communications, and operational excellence within a technical engineering environment.

Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities
  • Support the development of tools, programs, and resources that enhance the employee experience for new hires, current employees, and interns across Electric Engineering.
  • Support the development and tracking of KPIs, metrics, and dashboards to measure program effectiveness and operational performance.
  • Contribute to campus engagement initiatives, including outreach, events, and partnerships that strengthen the early career talent pipeline.
  • Coordinate onboarding activities, including planning, documentation updates, SharePoint/Monday.com maintenance, and new hire logistics. Provide support to new hires.
  • Assist in designing and delivering engagement initiatives such as pulse surveys, organizational health surveys, Kudos boards, celebrations, and quarterly Town Halls.
  • Organize and support the development of programming and oversight of tailored employee events such as Learning & Development sessions, including Tech Talks, Lunch & Learns, Master Class series, and other internal knowledge sharing events.
  • Maintain and update SharePoint and Monday.com sites to ensure project information, milestones, and employee resources remain accurate and accessible.
  • Track department projects in the department project collaboration platform, monitoring timelines, action items, and progress toward key deliverables act as a liaison and system administrator to ensure ongoing engagement with the platform.
  • Prepare presentations, communications, and materials for leadership and department wide events.

Qualifications

Required Education/Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree and 1 year of relevant work experience (including Con Edison or O&R co-op or internship).
Preferred Education/Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing or a related field and 1 year of relevant work experience (including Con Edison or O&R co-op or internship).
Relevant Work Experience
  • One year relevant business experience (including Con Edison or O&R co-op or internship), required.
  • Must exercise good judgment and render sound decisions, required.
  • Must demonstrate a positive work ethic in support of the Company's Corporate Values and Mission, required.
  • Must have outstanding oral, presentation and written communication skills, required.
  • Must be well organized, detail oriented and flexible to handle multiple assignments, required.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills to effectively interest with Company employees, required.
  • Must have an interest and willingness to learn new technologies and systems (AI, digital platforms, etc.), required.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office products, required.
  • Must also have a demonstrated ability to organize and facilitate events/programming tailored to various audiences, preferred.
Licenses and Certifications
  • Driver's License Required
Physical Demands
  • Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 25 pounds
  • Sit or stand to use a keyboard, mouse, and computer for the duration of the workday
  • Ability to read small print and symbols
Additional Physical Demands
  • The selected candidate will be assigned a System Emergency Assignment (i.e., an emergency response role) and will be expected to work non-business hours during emergencies, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able and willing to travel within Company service territory, as needed.
  • Must be able to participate in the Companys emergency management processes and storm plans as required.
