Department Summary The Design Transfer Operations team plays a crucial role as a liaison for end-to-end design transfer activities. This team represents various Operations functions during the new product development and transfer processes, acting as a focal point for Global Operations projects.The team ensures that all Operations stakeholders (Manufacturing, Process Engineering, Validation Engineering, Functional Leads, Quality, Validation, Planning, Purchasing, Procurement and Label Control) needs are understood and communicated through the transfer process. They participate in cross-functional teams to address transfer project needs; establish partnership with other organizational groups like Regulatory, Lifecycle and other business partners, and assist in coordination between Operations and Development, Regulatory and Project team(s) at Roche while launching new Assays. The team leverages the application of program management skills, lean manufacturing principles, process engineering and sound scientific rigor to ensure that new Assays, Reagents and Bulk materials are introduced into the existing manufacturing processes. They help ensure that Operations needs are met from a manufacturability, quality, cost and schedule perspective, and the requirements for a minimum viable product are met within Operations; clearly communicating project risks and proposing gap closure plans to eliminate these risks. The team establishes and refines transfer standard work to continuously improve the transfer process, and actively seek out, create and implement new ways to drastically simplify ways of working. Relocation benefits are not available for this job posting. The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Tucson is $23.00-$35.00 per hour. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
