Job Posting End Date: 1/2/2026 Shift: 1st Security Clearance: No Clearance SUMMARY This position is responsible for analysis of current and projected material requirements to support construction demand company-wide. Establish requisition quantities that will support construction, maintain inventory turns, and control inventory costs. Authorize, monitor, control and update the system for material issues. Prepare and monitor material transfers. Assist with the development of procedures and performance measures used for continuous process improvements, which will reduce material costs and improve efficiencies. Reports to SCM Department supervision/ management as assigned. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
PHYSICAL DEMANDS Work primarily conducted in an office setting with good lighting. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus. Regularly required to sit, use hands and fingers, operate computer keyboard and controls, and communicate verbally and in writing. Must be physically able to commute to buildings throughout the shipyard. Occasional exposure to dust, fumes and moderate levels of noise. ACCOUNTABILITY Accountable for supporting the internal customer through the on-time procurement and delivery of materials and services of the right quantity, quality, and best value for GD NASSCO in accordance with the standards of conduct and qcquisition.
