Position is fixed-term for one year with the possibility of renewal. This position may perform work both in-person and remotely, as determined by supervisor and the needs of the college. This position may occasionally be required to work additional hours or weekends as needed to complete time-sensitive projects or facilitate events and programs.

Purpose

The Research Associate reports to Jie Li, Associate Professor in the College of Pharmacy to investigate natural products chemistry, biosynthesis, and biological activities for drug discovery.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the lab with natural products discovery and biological evaluations for drug discovery

  • Assist with manuscript preparation for scientific publication

  • Additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
  • B.S. or senior undergraduates with background in pharmaceutical sciences, biology, biochemistry, or chemistry.

  • Experience in analyzing research data.

Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong verbal and writing communication skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to assist with scientific research and manuscript preparation.

Salary Range

* $16,000- $24,000 depending on qualifications
