The Sr Loan Closing Analyst is responsible for ensuring the smooth and accurate closing of loan transactions and managing the risk through the loan life cycle. This position plays a vital role in ensuring the accuracy of loan transactions, maintaining compliance, and managing risk.

You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead a variety of pre-close activities for moderately complex to complex commercial loans, including coordinating all aspects of loan closings
  • Review complex legal documentation, evaluate risks, develop strategies to mitigate documentation risk and identify procedural revisions
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of all required documents
  • Respond to email/phone inquiries from customers, related third parties, lending partners and internal team members regarding loans within the Credit portfolio
  • Collaborate with other credit areas to have an audit-ready file
  • Assist with other duties (assignments, new employee training, special projects) as assigned

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in commercial lending operations in closing, loan accounting and/or servicing
  • 2+ years commercial loan documentation experience, including LSTA documentation
  • 2+ years in banking industry and applicable regulations
  • 2+ years of experience with documenting processes and practices, while effectively prioritizing multiple tasks, projects and deadlines
  • Ability to travel 10%

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • Completion of a formal commercial credit training program
  • Experience underwriting commercial loans, including commercial real estate loansand/or commercial and industrial (C&I) loans
  • Experience with the full life cycle of commercial loans
  • Experience with LSTA loan documentation
  • Proven excellent communication, interpersonal skills, analytical and problem-solving abilities

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $71,200 to $127,200 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
