ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES





The Repair Coordinator is responsible for reviewing unserviceable inventory for repair, selecting the best supplier for the component repair, and reviewing and providing disposition for quotes after receipt from the supplier. Additionally, the Repair Coordinator will work to find new suppliers for units that Omni does not have history repairing; as well as submitting request for quotes in order to select the best supplier to repair the component. Duties shall include, but are not limited to the following:





  • Utilize Omni's Inventory/ERP system (TRAX) to run inventory reports to determine what material needs to be repaired.
  • Use Omni's Inventory/ERP system or internet subscription services to review and select the appropriate supplier/maintenance repair organization (MRO) for the specific unserviceable parts.
  • Work closely with purchasing, inventory and engineering to ensure stock levels are maintained, components are modified to the appropriate modification level and all company Engineering Orders are implemented.
  • Create Repair Orders on a daily basis to ensure company quarantine cages are well kept.
  • Review all incoming repair quotes from the suppliers. Approve or provide disposition on all quotes to determine if the unit is cost effective to repair or not.
  • Ensure all units under warranty are tracked appropriately and claimed.
  • Attach company requisitions to repair orders and reroute repair orders to the appropriate stocking location as defined by the Inventory department.
  • Provide disposition on units that may be beyond economical repair (BER)
  • Be aware of contracts that are in place for repairs as well as enforce contractual agreements.
  • Research component usage to determine if specific components required to be repaired immediately or at a later date.
  • Build and maintain relationships with MROs to ensure timely quote returns and turn- around times (TAT).


  • Keep required records in a well-organized manner
  • Communicate effectively with warehouses to move unserviceable material or ship items to repair.




QUALIFICATIONS





  • Type minimum 40 wpm
  • Computer proficiency with Word and Excel
  • Internet skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Possess organizational skills
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Negotiating skills a must
  • Must be able to pass a 10-year Background/Criminal check and pre-employment drug screen

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship.






EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE





  • High School diploma or GED (required)
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred but not required
  • Aviation experience with emphasis in repairs, inventory, or purchasing a plus, but not required
