Job Description

The Bloch School of Management's Executive Education department seeks a dynamic Marketing and Events Program Coordinator to join our team. This role will play a pivotal role in marketing, event management, business development, relationship management and administration for our Executive Education programs, which provide leadership development programs to organizations and individuals in the Kansas City community. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a passion for marketing and event coordination. Responsibilities:

Marketing:

  • Collaborate with the Marketing Communications team to develop and execute marketing strategies for Executive Education programs.
  • Using tools such as Canva, create engaging marketing materials, including brochures, flyers, and digital content.
  • Maintain and update the Executive Education website with program information and updates.
  • Manage social media platforms, including content creation, scheduling, and engagement.
  • Maintain a social media calendar to ensure consistent and timely posting.
  • Assist with client outreach and business development.

Event Management:

  • Coordinate all aspects of events, including room arrangements, catering, and AV/tech setup.
  • Collaborate with Information Services AV Tech Specialists to ensure seamless technical support during events.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for vendors, speakers, and instructors.
  • Assist in deploying contracts for instructors, speakers, and other event-related services.

Invoicing and Administration:

  • Oversee the processing of invoices related to Executive Education programs.
  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness in invoicing procedures.
  • Assist in budget tracking and financial reporting as needed.
Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and 1 year of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Education or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in marketing, event coordination, or related roles.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with design tools such as Canva.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Prior experience in higher education or executive education programs.
  • Prior experience in social media marketing.
  • Skills working with software to create marking materials.
  • Demonstrated project management skills.
Anticipated Hiring Range

$24.00 - $26.00 per hour (commensurate with education, experience, and internal equity)
