| Job Duties |
The Production Services Coordinator in the Central Reservations Office is responsible for all aspects of audio, lighting, and video in Central Reservations Office (
CRO)-managed spaces. This role oversees the technical production of events, and meetings, ensuring high-quality execution of sound, lighting, and video elements. The coordinator maintains and upgrades production equipment, interprets and executes technical riders, and provides expert technical support for university and external events.
Technical Expertise:
- Manage technical setups, including sound systems, stage lighting, light plots, sound and light boards, computers, LCD projectors, and associated software.
- Interpret and execute technical riders for contracted events, ensuring compliance with production requirements.
- Maintain and oversee the inventory of production equipment, researching and procuring upgrades and repairs as needed.
- Submit and track work orders for facilities-related projects and technical maintenance.
- Conduct bi-annual reviews of production equipment inventory and oversee minor repairs by student technicians.
- Research and implement new AV technology to enhance event production and improve efficiency.
- Collaborate with IT, Facilities, and external vendors to ensure seamless integration of technical equipment and infrastructure.
Leadership and Supervision:
- Hire, train, schedule, and supervise student technicians to support event production and equipment management.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to student staff, ensuring professional development and technical proficiency.
- Ensure student employees follow safety procedures for sound, lighting, and video equipment usage and minor repairs.
- Train student technicians in emergency evacuation procedures, fire watch protocols, and proper use of facility equipment.
- Maintain accurate student employee payroll records, ensuring proper sign-in and submission of time sheets.
Event Coordination and Execution:
- Oversee all aspects of audio, lighting, and video production in CRO-managed spaces, ensuring seamless execution of events.
- Provide on-site technical support for productions scheduled through the Central Reservations Office, supporting university departments and external clients.
- Ensure all events and meetings are set up on time and as per the event schedule, including setup, load-in, rehearsals, execution, and breakdown.
- Manage the outdoor video board at the Main Campus Student Center, including content scheduling, sponsorship coordination, and equipment maintenance.
- Attend event planning meetings to coordinate technical needs, review technical riders, and procure necessary equipment.
- Supervise technical setups and assist with the execution and breakdown of events.
- Ensure compliance with university-wide safety standards in all event setups and productions.

| Minimum Education/Experience |
Bachelor's degree, preferably in theatre arts, and demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. |

- Experience interpreting and executing technical riders associated with entertainment contracts.
- Experience with audio, lighting, and video production, including setup, troubleshooting, and equipment maintenance.

- Experience with digital signage or digital video board, and knowledgeable in supporting software
