As a member of CLA's CAAS practice, you will be an integral part of the CLA client service team and will work directly 1:1 with our clients to provide customized accounting services to support them as they manage and grow their business or organization. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Compliance & Regulatory Oversight: - Ensure full compliance with federal, state, and institutional financial aid regulations, including Title IV programs. - Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changing regulations and implement necessary policy updates. Financial Aid Administration: - Oversee the processing of student financial aid applications, verification, and awarding. - Manage disbursement schedules and reconciliation of funds with the Business Office. Student Support & Communication: - Provide clear guidance to students and families regarding financial aid options, eligibility, and application processes. - Develop communication strategies to improve understanding and engagement. Data Management & Reporting: - Maintain accurate records in compliance with audit requirements. - Prepare and submit required federal, state, and institutional reports (e.g., FISAP, IPEDS). Strategic Planning & Collaboration: - Partner with Enrollment Management and Finance teams to align financial aid strategies with institutional goals. - Recommend improvements to processes, technology, and student experience. JOB REQUIREMENTSEducation: Bachelor's degree is required. Combination of related experience, education, and training may be accepted in lieu of degree. CPA certification is preferred but not required. Experience: 6 years of relevant accounting and/or financial experience is required. - Expertise in Title IV regulations and compliance. - Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. - Experience with financial aid management systems Travel: This position requires working primarily in-office, including frequent local travel to/from client sites and may require occasional non-local or overnight travel for client visits, training, meetings and/or other business-related purposes.
