The Director of Supply Planning is responsible for leading the end-to-end supply planning function to ensure product availability, optimized inventory, capacity alignment, and operational continuity across the enterprise. This role owns the development and execution of supply planning strategies that balance service, cost, and working capital objectives while supporting business growth and operational excellence. Acting as a strategic partner to Manufacturing, Procurement, Commercial, and Finance teams, the director ensures planning processes, tools, and decision-making frameworks are robust, data-driven, and aligned with corporate goals. The position requires an analytical, forward-thinking leader capable of building a resilient supply network, improving planning accuracy, and driving continuous improvement through S&OP/IBP best practices..

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic Leadership

    Develop and execute supply planning strategies that support corporate objectives, service-level targets, and operational scalability.
  • Lead the S&OP/IBP processes to ensure integrated demand, supply, and financial planning.
  • Drive capacity planning, inventory optimization, and scenario modeling to support business continuity and growth.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Manufacturing, Procurement, Logistics, Engineering, Finance, and Commercial teams to ensure complete alignment on supply strategies, constraints, and trade-offs.
  • Ensure supply planning effectively supports new product introductions, lifecycle management, and network transitions.
  • Serve as a key liaison to senior leadership on supply risks, mitigation strategies, and planning assumptions.

Supply Network Management & Risk Mitigation

  • Oversee master production scheduling (MPS), material requirements planning (MRP), and capacity modeling to ensure supply continuity.
  • Establish and manage planning KPIs such as OTIF, fill rate, forecast adherence, and inventory turns.
  • Drive proactive risk identification and mitigation related to capacity, material availability, and supply disruptions.

Governance, Compliance & Process Improvement

  • Ensure adherence to corporate policies, data integrity standards, and supply planning procedures.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives across planning processes and systems, leveraging Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Champion the use of advanced planning tools, analytics, and digital solutions (e.g., SAP IBP, APO, O9, Kinaxis, LeanDNA).

Team Leadership

  • Lead, develop, and mentor a high-performing supply planning team.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, analytical rigor, and cross-functional partnership.
  • Define planning capability roadmaps to enhance forecasting, systems proficiency, and strategic decision-making.


Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & CHARACTERISTICS

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or related field (MBA or advanced degree preferred).
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in supply planning, production planning, or end-to-end supply chain roles.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in planning or S&OP/IBP within a complex or multi-site environment.
  • Deep expertise in supply planning, capacity modeling, MPS/MRP, and inventory optimization.
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen; ability to interpret data to drive decision-making.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven track record of leading transformation initiatives and improving planning maturity.
  • Proficiency with ERP and advanced planning tools (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, SAP IBP, APO, Kinaxis RapidResponse, O9, LeanDNA).

At Bruker, base salary is part of our total compensation. The estimated base salary range for this full-time position is between $148,500 and $261,000 provides an opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role.The base salary for the role will depend on a several job-related factors, including, but not limited to education, training, experience, the geographic location of the successful candidate, skills, competencies, job-related knowledge and travel requirements for this position. Full-time employees may also be eligible for a performance-related incentive in addition to a full range of benefits including 401(k) with company match, an employee stock purchase plan, medical and dental plans, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance, employee assistance program and paid time off including vacation, sick time and holidays, and more.
