Position Summary: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Senior Data Analyst. The Senior Data Analyst plays a key role in providing financial insights, conducting analysis, and developing models to support decision-making and drive departmental objectives. Key responsibilities include budgeting, strategic planning, data management, financial and operational reporting, and analytical support for the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry department. Working as part of a dynamic analytics team, the Senior Data Analyst will analyze data from various sources to measure performance, identify opportunities, and deliver actionable insights. This role also involves building and maintaining internal data infrastructure, creating dashboards, and utilizing programming languages like JavaScript to streamline workflows and enhance reporting capabilities. Provides reliable, responsive, and professional service to key stakeholders, in alignment with the strategic direction of the Department. As part of a data-centric department, the analyst will have the opportunity to be involved with various operational initiatives and strategic goals.
Job Responsibilities:
- Cross-collaborates with both internal as well as external teams to analyze large datasets using appropriate systems to identify opportunities for operational and revenue enhancement; assists in building new models and metrics; identify trends and develop work plans with management to address issues.
- Leads financial and reporting support to the different mission areas to achieve financial and operational goals, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
- Develops and implements advanced policies, procedures, and systems that govern financial functions to ensure robust internal controls and maximize operational efficiency.
- Provides comprehensive ad-hoc financial and operational analysis for special projects, identifying opportunities with Practice Operations, Credentialing, and Managed Care.
- Produces detailed budget reports and financial updates for internal stakeholders, including senior management and faculty, ensuring clarity and actionable insights.
- Prepares complex financial statements and internal/external reporting in compliance with US GAAP, US government, and other applicable regulations.
- Leads and participates in high-impact special projects to evaluate clinical complex data, delivering insightful reports and recommendations.
- Supports the training of Junior Analyst joining the department to align them to the goals and objectives of the team.
- Collaborates with Service Directors, Administrators, and other senior members of the management team to develop and implement strategies for improving financial and operational performance.
- Conducts in-depth root cause analysis to determine collections delays and inaccuracies; summarizes analytical findings in a clear, digestible format for leadership, providing thoughtful and strategic recommendations.
- Leads the maintenance of departmental clinical databases and monitors budgets monthly to review for variances, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Measures clinical performance, identifies areas for improvement, and leads the management of project initiatives to drive operational excellence.
- Leads the development and submission of annual budgets, multi-year projections, and long-range financial plans, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Support the finances invoicing process and reconciles for pending payments from various stakeholders.
- Monitors personnel allocations across departmental chartfields and submits changes to personnel allocations, ensuring optimal resource utilization.
- Manages the CSC procurement process, troubleshooting purchasing and Accounts Payable issues to ensure seamless operations.
- Generates and distributes comprehensive monthly reports to clinicians, representing collections, AR, and productivity, providing actionable insights.
- Monitors collections activity, reconciles gaps, and ensures clinicians are paid correctly, maintaining high standards of accuracy and timeliness.
- Prepares clinical supplemental payroll and ensures timely submission for monthly payments to providers, maintaining compliance with organizational policies.
- Provides exceptional customer service to clinicians regarding payroll submissions and follow-up questions, ensuring satisfaction and resolution of issues.
Minimum Qualifications: To qualify you must have a Bachelor's Degree and 3-5 years of experience required. Preferred Qualifications: Possesses strong technical skills, including Excel proficiency and familiarity with querying and data structure. Understands and embraces Enterprise Systems. Understands and employs Accounting and Financial Principles. Demonstrates ability to manage time and deadlines effectively. Exercises good judgment and effectively prioritizes work. Embraces and encourages the practice of Continuous Improvement. Possesses excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Able to summarize analytical findings and provide recommendations in a digestible format for senior leadership. Demonstrates accountability and ethicality, and is able to establish and maintain strong relationships. Works collaboratively with and through others and is a collegial team player.
