As an unarmed patrol officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and supporting a welcoming atmosphere for staff, patients, and visitors. You will remain highly visible, respond to situations with professionalism, and provide outstanding customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare environment.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, helping to maintain order and support the healthcare staff and patients.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Observe and report any unusual circumstances, hazards, or suspicious activity to the appropriate personnel in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific policies.
  • Assist with access control procedures, including verifying identification and monitoring entrances and exits to help to deter unauthorized entry.
  • Support emergency response efforts by following protocols and assisting first responders as needed within the healthcare location.
  • Maintain a visible presence throughout the assigned area to help to deter unwanted behavior and provide reassurance to staff, patients, and visitors.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Proof of hospital-required vaccines is required.
  • An armed guard card or license is required.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
