The Department of Human Services is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Human Services Program Representative 1 to join our team in the Southeast Regional Office of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services (located at Norristown State Hospital). In this role, you will help us ensure the health and safety of vulnerable citizens who receive care from mental health facilities. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this position, you will primarily ensure Licensed Mental Health Programs are compliant with Pennsylvania State Law. Your work will involve critical oversight of licensed mental health programs, as well as monitoring the contract provisions of the behavioral health managed care program within the Southeast Region. In addition to licensing and investigating Mental Health Programs, you will provide accurate and relevant information regarding contract compliance with the Department, interested parties, and the community. You will also detect urgent discrepancies in reporting mechanisms, problems within the service provisions and significant consumer issues in a timely manner for immediate resolution to allay adverse consequences to consumers, community, or the Department. Additionally, you will conduct on-site visits of mental health programs and agencies to evaluate facilities and programs for compliance with state and federal rules, regulations and policies, and program standards.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch. This may change based on operation needs.

  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time up to 3 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Norristown . The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Three years of professional experience developing, implementing, or evaluating a human service program, and a bachelor's degree; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.
