DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Program Specialist 2, you will engage in collaborative efforts with various interagency partners, such as school districts, Children & Youth Services, and Mental Health, among others, to provide high-quality, family-centered services. Your role will involve scheduling and facilitating case review meetings, coordinating specialized teams to meet specific needs of children and families, and developing strategies for service enhancement, including grant writing. Additionally, you will promote the active involvement of parents and consumers in treatment planning and policy development. Your responsibilities will also encompass understanding family concerns prior to meetings, offering advisory support to community agencies, negotiating service financing, identifying service gaps, maintaining a comprehensive resource database, being on-call for MH/DS Administration during off-hours, and participating in regional and state CASSP meetings and cross-system initiatives. Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a County Mental Health Program Specialist 1; or
- Three years of professional level experience in the field of mental health; and a bachelor's degree; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

- Hiring preference for this vacancy may be given to candidates who live within Luzerne and Wyoming Counties. If no eligible candidates who live within Luzerne and Wyoming Counties apply for this position, candidates who reside in other counties may be considered.
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
