Network Operations Center Engineer

The Opportunity:

Monitor network administration and maintenance operations. Resolve network incidents to ensure the smooth running of the network operation center. Apply specific functional, working, and general industry knowledge. Develop or contribute to solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Work independently with some guidance. Review or guide the activities of junior employees.

You Have:

  • Experience with Enterprise Network Monitoring tools, firewall configuration, and network troubleshooting
  • Experience with Remote Access Solutions, including Cisco AnyConnect, Palo Alto Prisma, or Citrix
  • Experience with DNS configuration and troubleshooting
  • Experience building an encryption tunnel, site-to-site
  • Experience with Packet Capture troubleshooting
  • Experience with Ingress or Egress Proxy and Load Balancing with F5 Networks
  • Ability to configure a Cisco router, switch, and firewall via command line interface
  • Ability to work an overnight shift from 9pm - 7:30am EST
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
  • HS diploma or GED

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience managing service requests using a ticketing system
  • Experience with routing and switching protocols
  • Knowledge of NAT vs PAT
  • Ability to obtain a Cisco Certified Entry Networking Technician (CCENT), Network+, Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Cisco Certified Design Professional (CCDP), or Cisco Certified Internetwork (CCIE) Certification within 6 months of start date

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $61,900.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
