Lactalis US Yogurt , part of the Lactalis family of companies, is currently hiring a Maintenance Technician III based in Casa Grande, AZ.

The Maintenance Technician role is responsible for performing routine PMs and completing reactive maintenance in a fast-paced environment in our Arizona facility. This position is part of a cohesive team, needs someone who can multi-task, pays close attention to detail, and is motivated!

Our Maintenance Technician minimum is $28.00/hour (or more depending on experience), plus shift differentials. Full-time. Day shift (06:00 AM - 06:30PM) on a 2-2-3 rotation.

From your EXPERTISE to ours

Key responsibilities for this position include

  • Willing to work a 12-hour day shift on a 2-2-3 rotation.
  • Perform and follow all OSHA guidelines regarding work and safety manuals
  • Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment as scheduled.
  • Daily oiling, greasing & inspection of production and production support equipment
  • Service and rebuild pumps and valves
  • Filter changes for both plant and production equipment.
  • Ensure all programs are being upheld and documentation is current.
  • Maintain completed daily record of work performed on maintenance CMMS software.
  • Process requisitions to replace parts used.
  • Write simple correspondence, and complete manufacturing documentation completely.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • The employee will troubleshoot, maintain, and repair mechanical equipment and facilities, and aid in the manufacturing of all company products in a safe and sanitary work environment.
  • Perform emergency repairs in breakdown situations.

Qualified applicants will contribute the following:

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certifications is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a dairy processing or food manufacturing environment preferred.

Skills / Abilities / Knowledge

  • Ability to disassemble and assemble all parts of machines and support equipment according to the manufacturer's specifications.
  • Basic working knowledge of HVAC and refrigeration systems.
  • Must be able to assess all areas of machines and support equipment in Dairy facility.
  • Be able to read basic electrical schematics and mechanical blueprints.
  • Basic knowledge of hydraulic / pneumatic systems.
  • Basic knowledge of boiler function and operation.
  • Basic metal working/machining skills.
  • 1-3 years' experience in maintenance divisions or experience in a related position.
  • Ability to troubleshoot/repair pumps, valves, and packaging equipment.
  • Ability to provide basic electrical troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to perform TIG welding.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
