Sr.Industrial Engineer
to lead the development of optimization tools using advanced operations research (OR) techniques. What You'll Do
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of in-house tools (front-end and back-end) to support process optimization,leveragingOR techniques such as mathematical modeling, simulation, and algorithm development, whilemaintaininga holistic business view to align solutions with strategic organizational goals
Build and implement advanced algorithms and optimization models to solve complex operational challenges, improving relentlessly to enhance efficiency across business processes Create andmaintaindashboards and intuitive operator touchscreen interfaces (including SCADA dashboards) to visualize key metrics, enabling data-driven decision-making and supporting optimization efforts Develop discrete event simulations to model material flow processes, analyzing andoptimizingworkflows while solving problems collaboratively with cross-functional teams Collaborate with stakeholders toidentifyoperational bottlenecks, translate requirements into technical solutions, and ensure seamless tool integration,demonstratingownership and dependability in project delivery Continuously refine tools and models by incorporating feedback,monitoringperformance, and staying current with OR and development best practices, thereby raising the bar for team excellence Mentor and develop talent within the current engineering team, providing guidance on OR methodologies, full-stack development, and problem-solving to build high-performing individuals and strengthen team capabilities Establish and promote a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement, aligning with Tesla's values to foster an environment where the team thrives and exceeds expectations in the current operational landscape
What You'll Bring
- Degree in Operations, Industrial, or Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
Extensive experience in operations research, including optimization techniques, algorithm design, and mathematical modeling (e.g.linear programming, simulation, heuristics), with a focus on knowing the business to drive strategic, enterprise-wide impact Proficiencyin full-stack development, including front-end (e.g.JavaScript, React, HTML/CSS) and back-end (e.g.Python, Node.js, Java) technologies, along with DevOps practices or CI/CD pipelines Strongexpertisein data analytics tools (e.g.Python, R, SQL) and visualization platforms (e.g.Tableau, Power BI, or custom solutions) to support insightful, data-driven leadership Familiarity with discrete event simulation tools (e.g. FlexSim,AnyLogic, Arena) and SCADA systems (e.g.Ignition), with the ability to mentor others in their application Demonstrated leadership in developing talent,establishingculture, and raising the bar through mentoring the current team,team-building, and ownership of high-stakes projects Exceptional problem-solving skills, with experience in structured methodologies (e.g.DMAIC, 8D, SPC/OCAP), and the ability to improve relentlessly in a fast-paced, collaborative environment Proven dependability in delivering results independently and as a leader, withstrong communicationskills to influence cross-functional teams, drive organizational change, and focus on team dynamics in the current setting

Expected Compensation
$93,600 - $172,800/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
