What to Expect
Tesla's Testteam is seeking a Display Test Engineer to lead the validation of our industry-defining display systems. As the central interface for vehicle control and infotainment, ourdisplays requirerigorous testing to ensure uncompromised performance and reliability.Youwill develop comprehensive test plansand execute validation procedures at both thecomponentand system levels to drive continuous design improvement. You will serve as a key technical liaison between Hardware, Software, Reliability, and external suppliers to resolve complex integration challenges.Ultimately, youwill manage the testing lifecycle to ensure our displays meet thehigh standards requiredfor the critical role they play in the Tesla driving experience.

What You'll Do
  • TestandvalidateTesla's Display designs beforethey hit production
  • Collaborate with designandreliabilityteamstoroot cause failures
  • Develop andmaintainautomation-focused test software to streamline execution, datacollectionand data analysis
  • Manage and execute tests frominitialsetup and instrumentation through to completion, troubleshooting issues as they arise
  • Designtest planstoevaluatetheimpact ofdesigndecisionsand makerecommendationson thefinal vehicle design

What You'll Bring
  • Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Strong electrical first principles skills
  • Solid understanding of display technologies, including module construction, manufacturing processes (frontend/backend), display reliability, and electronics systems
  • ProficientinPython
  • Proficient in using boards; Jetson Nanos, RaspberryPis,etc.
  • Eagerness to be hands-on, understandinghow to interact with a system and automate repeatable tasks
  • Strive for efficiency

    Expected Compensation
    $80,000 - $204,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

    Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
