What to Expect
The Manager - Manufacturing Engineering,General Assembly position, reporting toSr. Manager -ManufacturingEngineering,is located at our Fremont Factory location.The primary responsibility of this role isto manage a team of Manufacturing Engineersto support business needs inmultiple Assemblyshops. Business needs may include justification, procurement, and implementation of new equipment to introduce new products,new technology, or optimization.The successful candidate will have experience managing large projects, anddiversemanufacturing engineering teams in an automotive OEM setting.

What You'll Do
  • Lead ateam ofManufacturing Engineersresponsible forGeneral Assemblyequipment and process design,implementationand optimization. Including performance assessment,role definition, resource planning,recruiting, coaching, and team building

  • Manage implementation of newproduct, equipment, and technology- includingcapital projectjustification, procurement, design, installation,commissioning, and production rampadhering to strict project timelines and milestones

  • Create and manage largeprojectschedule,budgetand spendplanassociated withnew program / product launches and capital equipment implementation

  • EnsureSafety, Health, and Environmentalregulationcomplianceof General Assembly processand manufacturing areas. Coordinate and execute machine safeguarding validation andsafetybuyoff& environmental complianceofnew equipment

  • Clearly and concisely presentproject justification, status, constraints, andimpact to senior and executive management

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensureclearsynchronization ofresponsibility and priority, fostering apositive and openly collaborative project team environment

  • Provide technicalexpertiseand innovation to support engineering, maintenance, and production groups.Studytechnologies to expert-level ofunderstanding and define productive applications to improve business conditions

  • Create standard systems, tools, and procedures to organize and streamlineengineeringworkflowand department documentation

  • Support / assist Maintenance in troubleshooting difficult breakdowns and chronic equipment failures. Provide technical training to maintenance, production, and other internal resource groups

  • Working in a hands-on capacity in a production environment to fully understand scope, impact, and associated challenges. Provide technical support to production, maintenance, quality, and other groups asrequired


What You'll Bring
  • Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience

  • 5+ years of Project Leadership experience in a Manufacturing or Equipment Engineering role

  • PreviousPeopleLeadershipexperience& proven competence

  • Proven interpersonal skills and ability to objectively resolve conflict within a large group

  • Strong communicationskills, both verbal and written

  • Able to work flexible hours and schedules asrequired

    Expected Compensation
    $116,000 - $222,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

    Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
