Job Description

The CI Process Engineer develops and implements optimal, cost-effective manufacturing processes/methods/strategies in accordance with product specifications and quality standards. Recommends and implements improvements to production processes, methods and controls. Priorities include process improvement, problem resolution and employee training. Lead Lean Six Sigma continuous improvement teams for manufacturing and support processes. Goal oriented, data driven, with a strong sense of urgency.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide enthusiastic leadership and guidance to the site Continuous Improvement program.
  • Facilitate internal and external identification, design, testing and implementation of process improvements to meet TIMET production, safety, cost improvement and environmental goals.
  • In conjunction with the operations and technical departments, identify opportunities for quality improvement with customers.
  • Train & lead plant personnel in the Continuous Improvement methodologies.
  • Ability to influence, gain commitment, and leverage best practices across all levels of the organization.
  • Utilize the Lean Six Sigma methodology for problem solving and process improvements.
  • Plan and Lead Waste Elimination (Lean Six Sigma) activities using the DMAIC methodology.
  • Lead and facilitate continuous improvement teams and Kaizen events.
  • Implement visual factory including 6S, standardized work, and performance metric tracking.
  • Utilize data to drive improvements and implement control plans to sustain those improvements.
  • Maintain quality documents including but not limited to procedures, forms, recipes, etc.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree (BS) in an engineering related field or technical equivalent
  • 2 or more years' industrial experience preferred.
  • Experience using Lean Tools - Value Stream Mapping, Visual Factory/5S, Total Productive Maintenance, etc.
  • Experience with FMEA and Root Cause Analysis techniques.
  • Experience with MES, Microsoft Power BI, databases desired.
  • SPC and Six Sigma experience desired.
  • Metals experience would be very helpful (desired - not required.
