Position Title: Vinyl Fabricator

Wage: $17.00 per hour

Shift: 1st

Hours: 7:30am-3:30pm (Mon-Fri)

QPS Employment Group has a great Vinyl Fabricator position available at a company in Milan, IL. This is a 1st shift position with the opportunity for hire.

Vinyl Fabricator Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

- Cut vinyl and other materials using scissors and cutting tables; accurately measure materials using a tape measure.

- Perform hot air, wedge, and RF (radio frequency) welding/seaming to fabricate vinyl products.

- Attach handles, badges, and drain sleeves using welding equipment.

- Operate grommet machines to install grommets into vinyl materials.

- Lace vinyl liners to metal frames using lacing rope.

- Inspect materials and equipment; report defective materials or faulty equipment to a supervisor.

- Clean, organize, and maintain tools, equipment, and work areas.

Vinyl Fabricator Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent.

- Strong math skills with the ability to use measuring devices accurately.

- Ability to read and comprehend engineered drawings and work instructions.

- Effective multitasking skills in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

- Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety and quality.

- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

- Effective verbal communication skills.

- Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and take initiative.

- Team-oriented mindset with strong time management skills.

- Ability to work extended hours with limited advance notice when required to meet project deadlines.

- Must be able to communicate audibly, read at varying distances, and perform repetitive physical tasks.

- Ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, and move throughout an 8-hour shift.

- Frequent lifting and moving of up to 20 pounds required.

- Manufacturing environment with potential exposure to fumes, airborne particles, dust, or dirt.
